Mamfe is a municipality located in the southwestern region of Cameroon, near the border with Nigeria. The Manyu River runs through the town, giving it strategic importance for cross-border trade. Mamfe is known for its cultural and ethnic diversity, with groups such as the Bayang, Ejagham, and Anyang living there in harmony.

Mamfe’s economy is mainly based on agriculture, particularly the cultivation of cocoa, coffee, and food crops such as cassava and plantains. Thanks to its proximity to Nigeria, trade is also a key sector, with exchanges of goods such as food products and textiles.

Mamfe is a rapidly expanding city, benefiting from investments in road infrastructure and basic services such as education and health. Its natural landscapes, marked by green hills and tropical forests, make it an attractive destination for ecotourists.
